The first half of 2026 has been an incredibly active one for our team; in the courtroom, in the community, and in the organizations we are proud to serve. Here is a look at what our attorneys have been up to so far this year.
Jennifer Ramos
Jennifer has had a landmark year in her service to the Texas legal community. In June, she was elected to the State Bar of Texas Board of Directors representing District 14, which covers a broad stretch of north Texas spanning from Taylor, Jones, Haskell, Throckmorton, Baylor, and Wilbarger counties in the west to Comanche, Erath, Hood, Parker, Denton, and Cooke counties in the east. She attended the 2026 State Bar Annual Meeting in Houston to kick off her representation of the district, a term that runs through 2029.
Jennifer currently serves on three State Bar of Texas subcommittees: Disciplinary, Hispanic Issues, and Laws Relating to Immigration and Nationality.
Jennifer also continues to serve on the Board of Directors for Legal Aid of North Texas, representing the service areas of Cooke, Denton, Wise, and Montague counties. The board meets quarterly to review financial activity and receive updates from departments including Litigation, Pro Bono Relations, and Community Outreach.
David S. Bouschor II
David continues his extensive dedication to Denton County and North Texas this year, serving the 22nd year as President of the Denton County Dispute Resolution Program (DCAP) — the only program of its kind in the state of Texas that offers low-cost and pro bono mediation services to help resolve community disputes and reduce the caseload at the local courthouse.
He also continues his service on the Board of Directors of the FLOW Health Care Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit foundation which exists to distribute funds for the purpose of providing health care to under-served, low-income populations of Denton County Texas and provide grants to Denton County Health Providers.
Earlier this year, David was invited as a part of a small group of experts to present at the Collaborative Practice of California's Annual Conference, where he delivered a presentation titled "Protecting Unity in the Collaborative Team: The Splitting Syndrome," presenting a paper he co-authored to other practitioners and experts from across the country. Being asked to present at a national collaborative law conference is a meaningful recognition of David's expertise and reputation in this area of practice.
Caitlin S. Martinez
Caitlin continues to serve on the Board of Directors for the Denton County Bar Association, and chairs the Denton County REPTL section for 2026/2027 bar year.
This year, she was also nominated to serve on the Texas State Bar Court Rules Committee — a three-year term commitment that reflects the confidence her peers have in her knowledge and judgment.
Serving Clients Across Texas and Beyond
In just the first six months of 2026, our attorneys have represented clients in contested probates, guardianships, and family law matters across fourteen Texas counties: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Grayson, Gregg, Harris, Kaufman, Lubbock, Nueces, Parker, Tarrant, Williamson, and Wise — as well as cases in Oklahoma. We expect that geographic reach to continue growing as the year progresses.
All three of our attorneys have also volunteered with the Denton County Dispute Resolution Program (DCAP), collectively serving as volunteer mediators for eight cases in the first half of the year alone.
